Malika earned a BFA from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and an MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles. Born in Cleveland, Ohio (USA), she now lives in The Netherlands where she conducts research for her ongoing projects, maintains her studio practice, and guides artists and activists in meditation.
